3 Principles of Internet MLM Marketing vs Traditional MLM Marketing - Are They Really Different?
2 Comments Published January 7th, 2008 in Business From Home Tips
Online and offline marketing of your MLM business use different mediums to promote your business, one the World Wide Web and the other word of mouth. The 3 Principles are Credibility, Building Relationships, and Training and Duplication. These are the time tested fundamentals for turning a prospect into a distributor and maintaining a long term business partner regardless of how you prospect. Let us examine the 3 Principles and what it takes to woo a prospect and have them join your MLM business regardless of using online or offline marketing methods to promote your business.
Credibility - First impressions really are incredibly important. According to research the opinions we form in the first few minutes after meeting someone plays a major role in determining the course of the relationship. Same goes for online impressions. You have a short span to grab someone’s attention and instead of minutes you have seconds to gain credibility and create a positive impression. And if you don’t demonstrate credibility in that first impression, the prospect will be lost.
Building personal relationships - You are past credibility and first impressions, and you captured your lead. Now, it is time to build on that. Relationships are not always predictable, regardless of how positive that first impression may have been. Even if you garner credibility and positive impressions to where the prospect opts-in to your Lead Capture Page you can lose the prospect by not continuing to build your relationship. You need to demonstrate value to the prospect and how you can help them achieve their goals. The most effective way to build a relationship online is through daily e-mail marketing.
Training and duplication - Once you have the prospect converted to a distributor in your downline you have to train them with a duplicatable system. Internet MLM training must consist of Internet marketing training, traffic and lead generation. Teaching them internet marketing skills will put you and your distributors on the path of prosperity.
Lastly, wrapped around all those essentials is the Why factor. We all have a why we join and the purpose that keeps us motivated to achieving our goals. And you as an Internet MLM Marketer it is your job to meet all those demands. In the end the principles of building your MLM business offline or online are the same. Even online, human interaction and trust is important. If you can do that, you will have a thriving business.
